Terms of Use

The ground rules for using this website and the Julep Health mobile app.

The short version

  • This website is information and scheduling — it is not medical advice, and reading it does not make you our patient.
  • If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911. Do not use this website or the app.
  • Booking online sends us an appointment request. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
  • Payments are handled by Square. Your card number never touches our servers.
  • How we handle your information is covered by our Privacy Policy.

Agreement to these terms

These terms apply to our public website, julephealth.com, and the Julep Health mobile app. By using the website or the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or the app.

When we make a material change, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Who we are

Julep Health is an independent, physician-owned internal medicine practice in Ridgeland, Mississippi. This website lets you learn about the practice, request an appointment, complete a pre-visit checklist, sign up for our newsletter, use educational health calculators, and pay for certain services.

This website is not medical advice

Everything on this website — articles, service descriptions, calculators, blog posts — is general information for education. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for talking with a clinician who knows you and your history.

Using this website does not make you a patient of Julep Health and does not create a doctor–patient relationship. That relationship begins when the practice accepts you as a patient and you are seen by our care team.

If you think you may be having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not use this website, the app, or any online form to seek emergency help. Online forms and messages are not monitored around the clock.

Booking a visit

When you book online, you are sending us an appointment request for the time you picked. We confirm by email or text, and in some cases we may need to contact you to adjust the time or, rarely, decline the request. An appointment is only guaranteed once we have confirmed it.

You agree to give us accurate, complete information when you book — scheduling and care depend on it.

Cancellations. Plans change; we just ask for notice. Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment, using the link in your confirmation email or by calling us. Late cancellations and no-shows hold a slot another patient could have used, and may require a one-time prepayment before you can book again.

Payments

Some services — for example certain assessments and prepayments — are paid online. Payment links on this site take you to Square, our payment processor. Square handles the transaction on its own pages under its own terms; your card number goes to Square, not to our servers. We keep only the order and confirmation details we need to run the practice.

Prices are shown at the time of booking or payment. Paying online does not by itself create an appointment or a doctor–patient relationship — the booking and confirmation steps above still apply.

Health calculators

Our calculators run entirely in your browser and are for education only. Their results are estimates based on general formulas — they are not a diagnosis, and they should not be used to start, stop, or change any treatment. Talk to a clinician about what your numbers mean for you.

Communications

When you book a visit or use our services, we may contact you by phone, text, and email about your appointment and your care — confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups. Message and data rates may apply to texts, and you can reply STOP to any of our text messages to opt out.

You can opt out of promotional messages, including the newsletter, at any time. Operational messages — like appointment reminders — continue while you have an appointment or are a patient.

The mobile app

The Julep Health mobile app is for our patients and their care team. These terms apply to the app as well, alongside any additional terms presented to you inside the app. Your use of health features in the app is part of your care with the practice, and the information you share there is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Acceptable use

Use the website and app as they are intended. You agree not to:

  • submit false information or book appointments you do not intend to keep;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other people's information, or non-public areas of the site;
  • interfere with the site's operation, probe it for vulnerabilities, or circumvent security measures such as our spam protection;
  • scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content or data from the site;
  • use the site or app for anything unlawful.

You are responsible for keeping any credentials you use with the app secure, and for activity that happens under your account. We may suspend or end access to the site or app for violations of these terms.

Intellectual property

The content on this website and in the app — text, graphics, logos, and design — belongs to Julep Health or its licensors. You may view, download, and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Anything more — republishing, copying for distribution, commercial use — requires our written permission.

Third-party services

Parts of the site rely on third parties, each governed by its own terms and privacy practices:

  • Square processes payments on its own pages.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile protects our forms from spam and abuse.
  • Meta Pixel measures, on the website only, whether our advertising works. It records page views; details and your choices are in our Privacy Policy.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Privacy

How we collect, use, and protect your information is described in our Privacy Policy. Your medical record is governed by HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices, available at the practice or by contacting us.

Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this website. If you have difficulty accessing any part of it, contact us using the details below and we will help — and work to fix the problem.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The website and app are provided “as is.” We work to keep them accurate, secure, and available, but we cannot promise they will always be error-free or uninterrupted, and we may change or discontinue features at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Julep Health is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in them changes our professional obligations to you as a patient in the care we deliver.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Mississippi.

Changes to these terms

  • July 27, 2026 — Rewritten for the current website and mobile app; privacy moved to its own Privacy Policy.
